Turmeric is mostly known for its “anti-agent” properties- antioxidant, antiseptic, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antimutagenic, antimicrobial, antitumor, and anticancer. Although we like to see herbs more so as assisting these bodily defense responses versus suppressing them. Turmeric helps to protect the heart, lungs, kidneys and assists in protecting the body from radiation exposure. Combining turmeric with foods has also been shown to assist and effectively improve the digestion of foods.

Motherwort Tincture
This is a tincture that every woman in any phase of her life should have on hand. It’s energetics are bitter, cooling and stimulating, what a range of healing! Our plant ally is used to bring both calmness and strength by soothing anxiety and helping to balance the emotions. It is used in many phases of a woman’s life- to ease mentruation, to assist with labor during birth and during menopause. Motherwort is a well known heart tonic, great for men as well, lending a leaf in strengthening the heart and cardiovascular. Motherwort is a bitter herb, so it stimulates digestion and can be used to increase the appetite if needed. Good for overall digestion. This is a best friend in a bottle.

Loose Leaf Elder Flowers (2 oz)
Elderflowers are rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and C. Elderflower boosts the functioning of the immune system and is therefore very helpful with respiratory ailments during the cold season (cough, cold), as well as with asthma. Elderflowers are expectorant and diaphoretic (they increase perspiration) thus they help to manage and reduce fevers and to rid the body of toxins. Elderflowers are also anti-viral and are useful in combating herpes simplex type 1 virus (responsible for cold sores).
A lovely healing tea can be made and my favorite for younger ones is an elderflower sponge bath to help with colds and fever.
Shepherd’s Purse & Yarrow Tincture
Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) known to be a hemostatic (stops bleeding) and an antiseptic for both external and internal wounds and bleeding (including excessive menstrual flow).
Shepherd’s Purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris) is a very powerful styptic and one that I use regularly for women who suffer from flooding during their periods. As a postpartum herb, it can be useful for postpartum hemorrhage.

Digestive Bitters
Our Digestive Bitters feature classic bitter herbs–> hops, gentian root and milk thistle. They are formulated with aromatic herbs, anise and orange peel for an energetically balanced delivery.
We know that having a well balanced diet and lifestyle are key to wellness. A balanced diet includes a variety of things including different “tastes” or in traditonal Chinese medicine, the five tastes—sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and acrid. According to Ayurveda, the sense of taste is a natural guidemap towards proper nutrition.
Unfortunately many of us have diets that are lacking the bitter taste and include an overabundance of sweet and salty ones.
Bitter flavors stimulate the production of bile in the liver and increase excretion in the gallbladder. This effect is generally health-promoting, as it aides the liver in passing unneeded waste product. When the bitter taste first hits the tongue, activation of the digestive system begins!
Our convenient spray bottle is a great way to get your daily bitters in your life!
Not intended for use during pregnancy or if nursing.
